Parcels of undeveloped land on both historic High Street and along Boston Way adjacent to the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority commuter rail station have come on the market.
The MBTA is putting an 11.1-acre tract of land off Parker Street up for bid. It is offering what is listed as lots 1, 4, 6 and 8 Boston Way, as well as a lot known only as Boston Way, as one package, according to Lydia Rivera, a spokeswoman for the MBTA.
A depot, now empty, that was designed for commercial use in hopes of capturing business from commuters and other rail travelers is not part of the sale. The MBTA is seeking a minimum bid of $1.5 million.
